I sat down today to write an article on using environmentally products in your business. I was going to focus specifically on a great hosting provider that I use for our business. I even had a cheesy title referencing that crazy frog. And then the local free community news paper, the Beach Metro, was delivered.
As I'm sure you can guess, I read all my news online. I like the convenience of being able to search for what I'm interested in, but most of all, I like not having ink stained fingers. Knowing this, once we moved into our wonderful little house here in Toronto's Beach community, we called the Beach Metro and asked them to skip our house when delivering it. From an environmental standpoint, it makes good sense. One less paper (or 52 in the case of this weekly) to print. One less paper to recycle. I can only begin to imagine how many papers the Beach Metro wouldn't have to print if everyone that didn't want a paper didn't receive it. From another standpoint entirely, security, it also makes a lot of sense. In fact, once I tell you what I mean, I'm sure you'll agree that the Beech Metro is in fact jeopardizing my security by continuing to print and deliver that one paper every week. You see, my wife and I travel quite often. Sometimes we are away for only a couple days. Sometimes its for a couple weeks. But if you wanted to find out when we're away, all you would have to do is look at our walkway and see the pile of Beach Metros sitting there, essentially screaming out: WE'RE NOT HOME ... COME ON IN!!! So I ask you, Beach Metro, again ... for the 17th time at least, STOP DELIVERING TO MY ADDRESS!!!!!! Thanks :) Blue
